Business Management, Marketing, Independent EntrepreneurThe Business program is designed to provide students with a well-rounded education in business operations, management techniques, human relations, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Students in this field will learn to work with others, develop business strategies, and respond to today’s competitive business environment.
Program Highlights: Develop in-demand skills across public, private, and not for profit entities, large and small organizations, and diverse industries. Be part of a vibrant entrepreneurship community (Butte Startups Club). Develop strategies and make oral presentations.

Business Information Worker
The Business Information Worker (BIW) program is a two-tiered, structured career pathway
for students who are interested in entering the exciting and diverse career field
of office and administrative support. Students gain proficiency in business communication,
professional development, records management, technology tools used to support businesses
to achieve goals, such as Microsoft Office applications, collaboration tools, and
desktop publishing applications.
Program Highlights: Clear, structured career pathway. Up-to-date and emerging business technology. In demand employer desired skills.
Medical Office Administration
The Medical Office Administration (MOA) program is a two-tiered, structured career
pathway for students who are interested in providing office support in the exciting
and demanding healthcare industry. The MOA career pathway is a blend of three major
areas: the advancing field of health information management (HIM), the ever-emerging
field of business technology, and the constantly in-demand communication and professional
skills; and it is designed to prepare students with the knowledge and skills required
of today’s medical office support personnel.

Legal Office Administration
The Legal Office Administration (LOA) program is a two-tiered, structured career pathway
for students who are interested in entering into the challenging and highly specialized
field of legal office support. Employers in the law field are looking for support
personnel who have knowledge in the area of legal office procedures, processes, and
research, as well as general knowledge of office administration.
Program Highlights: Clear, structured career pathway. Highly specialized field of legal office support. Effective communication skills required to be successful in a legal environment.
Real Estate
Real estate sales, real estate appraisalThe Real Estate Program offers three options of study for those new to the field or experienced professionals. The real estate industry offers many interesting areas of employment and specialization. Positions may be found in real estate sales, appraisal, property management, finance, land development, and consulting. Students interested in Real Estate careers should visit relevant websites for information about licensing requirements (www.dre.ca.gov) and (www.orea.ca.gov).
Program Highlights: Qualify to take real estate salesperson exam after just one semester. Practical education taught by experienced real estate professionals. Courses in real estate appraisal, escrow, mortgage brokerage, property management, and real estate law.
